Who is this article for?Administrators responsible for managing Interested Parties.
Interested Parties Admin group membership is needed.
Interested Parties are Q-Pulse Cloud records for any business, organisation or group that you interact with and may need to reference in other areas of Q-Pulse Cloud.
Example: Most organisations will use the Interested Parties module to manage their customers and suppliers, however you can also use this to store information on regulatory groups, partners or investors.
All Interested Parties are categorised with a type and although this article does not provide details on managing the types, it does require them to have been configured in advance. For more information on this please visit How to Manage Interested Party Types.
This article focuses on how to create a brand new Interested Party record and has been split into four sections:
1. Create a New Interested Party
- Log in to Ideagen Home.
- Launch the Interested Parties module.
- Review the Interested Party list to confirm the organisation does not already exist.
- Click on the New Interested Party button.
- Select the Interested Party type.
- Complete the Interested Party information screen.
OR
- Log in to Ideagen Home.
- Launch the Interested Parties module.
- Click on New Interested Party in the Activities menu.
- Select the Interested Party type.

2. Assign Categories
Categories are useful ways of classifying the Interested Party. Like an Interested Party type there is no right or wrong approach and only what is the best fit for your use of Q-Pulse Cloud.
To assign a category:
- Open your Interested Party record.
- Open the Categories tab.
- Search for your required category.
- Click Add Category.
- Repeat this process for as many categories as needed.
No categories available? No problem! Visit How to Manage Interested Party Categories for more information.
3. Approve the Interested Party
You may or may not have a formal approval process for interested parties. The formality of this process may vary depending on the type of interested party.
Example: Suppliers will likely require a more formal review than customers as any disruption to the supplier could impact your operations.
To set the approval status:
- Open your Interested Party record.
- Click on the Ellipsis button and then select Change Approval Status.
- Set the approval status.
- Click Update.
