1. How to Upgrade the Test Client on the Server
A test client is a standard Q-Pulse client installed on the application server that you can log in to in order to test that Q-Pulse in functioning or to perform admin tasks.
To upgrade this client:
- Browse to the Client folder in the installation media.
- Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
- Launch the Q-Pulse client to confirm you can log in to the system.
Did you receive an error when trying to log in? If services have not been started or you've missed an upgrade on either the server or database then this could prevent you from logging in. Try confirming that the Q-Pulse Server service is running and that you've completed the upgrade on the application server and database.
2. How to Perform a Q-Pulse Client Update Using ClickOnce
Once Q-Pulse is working you are ready to deploy the client. The easiest method is using ClickOnce.
For specific steps on how to update the client using ClickOnce please visit How to Perform a Q-Pulse Client Update Using ClickOnce.
