The next step in performing your Q-Pulse upgrade is to update the web interface. This is an optional feature that allows you to use Q-Pulse via a web browser instead of having a client installed on a local PC. In some organisations this will be the main way in which you use Q-Pulse but in others this will be an extra feature.

Important Note: Before proceeding to update the Web Interface please ensure you have a working Q-Pulse client by following the steps outlined in How to Upgrade the Q-Pulse Clients.
1. How to Upgrade the Q-Pulse Identity Server
To upgrade the identity server:
- Browse the installation files and open the Identity Server folder.
- Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
- If prompted for a reboot, click OK.
Note: A reboot of the server is only required if the Identity Server is running.
- Click Finish.
2. How to Upgrade the Print Server
To upgrade the print server:
- Browse the installation files and open the Identity Server folder.
- Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
- Click Finish.
3. How to Upgrade the Q-Pulse API
To upgrade the API web services:
- Browse the installation files and open the API Web Services folder.
- Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
- Click Finish.
4. How to Upgrade the Q-Pulse Web Interface
To upgrade the web interface:
- Browse the installation files and open the Web Client folder.
- Run the file 'Setup.exe'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
- Click Finish.
5. How to Restart Services
Before testing the web interface:
- Open the Windows Services.
- Restart the Q-Pulse Server Service.
- Open Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Click on the website hosting Q-Pulse.
- Select Restart on the Manage Website panel on the right hand side.
6. How to Test the Q-Pulse Web Interface
To test the Q-Pulse Web Interface:
- Open a web browser.
- Go to http://<servername>/qpulse
OR
- Open Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Click on the website hosting Q-Pulse.
- Click on the QPulse virtual directory.
- Click on Browse *80 (http) on the Manage Application pane on the right hand side.
